Summary

Before the opening credits, we see scenes from an "unaired" episode of "To Catch a Predator". In this segment, we see a black man walk into a house and sit at the kitchen counter. David Hansen comes comes out and confronts the man about his reasons for coming to the house. In a surprising twist, the man, who identifies himself as a "Booty Warror" reveals the reason he was there was so he could have some "Man Booty" and intends to get what he came for. David is confused and just as he orders the camera crew to cut, Booty Warrior grabs him and presumably (we can assume as much by his horrified expression) enters him from behind.

After the opening credits, Huey recaps Tom DuBois' scathing fear of being sent to prison and getting raped. Tom's fear is so bad, he takes a leave of absence to get the help he needs. After a series of group therepy sessions and self-defense classes, Tom decides to prove he's overcome his fear by chaperoning a group of troubled boys (among them Riley and Huey Freeman) to the Maximum Security Prison so they can be scared straight. At home, Sarah doesn't think his going is a good idea but Tom explains depending on how the experience goes, he'll consider becoming a defense attorney (he became a prosector so he wouldn't have to meet clients in prison). His comment about making sure the kids leave prison with their rectums intact leads Sarah to say "Pause" (common saying when someone speaks frankly on the subject of Homosexuality and the listener is uncomfortable about it). The next morning Tom catches Riley making a plastic shank out of a toothbrush. Riley says it's for protection and offers to make one for him but Tom takes it from him. Instead of throwing it away, Tom puts the plastic shank in his pocket. The other chaperone and bus driver is Uncle Ruckus. He tells the white children the experience "will be like a zoo" but tells Huey and Riley "It will be like a trip to the future".

At the prison, the warden brings the boys to a room where they verbally assaulted by five inmates. At first, the inmates talk about how bad prison life is but after Huey gives a "smarter reason prisons exist", the subject turns to rape in prison. As the inmates get more detailed in their "lecture" about rape in prison, Tom clearly has second thoughts about coming on to the prison when his fearful expression catches the attention of one of the inmates. He at another inmate openly fantasize about how they'd have their way with Tom. In a failed attempt to move away from prison rape, one of the inmates catches Tom gaping at him and scares him into taking off his suit. The only inmate who hasn't spoken yet--Booty Warrior from the beginning of the episode--notices the shank sticking out of Tom's suit and puts it in his pocket. Armed with some leverage, he rises to speak.

He tells the boys the most important thing in prison is booty and getting it no matter what. He uses Tom as a model in his technique: "I likes you and I wants you. Now, we can either do this the easy way or we can do this the hard way. The choice is yours. What's it gonna be?...Sounds to me like you want it the hard way." He grabs Tom and points the shank at his neck. Four corrections officers rush into the room to stop him but Tom, remembering his defense training breaks free and runs out of the room. He runs to a payphone and dials 911. To his dismay, the dispatcher makes fun of his situation. "What kind of fucked up question is that?!" he exclaims before hanging up the phone and then calling Sarah. He tells her of the situation and against her advice, decides to try to rescue Ruckus and the boys.

Menawhile, it turns out Booty Warrior only did half the job. He gave the convicts the prison and hostages but didn't have an excape plan. "A booty is more important than an escape plan." he says to the other inmates before leaving the room to look for Tom. The remaining inmates want to do things proper now that there's a black president so Huey suggests they prepare a list of demands they would like met in exchange for the hostages. The inmates' demands are "bitches" of varying races. While going over the list, Tom arrives and manages to sneak everyone except Huey and Riley to safety. The Warden begins to lead them to a secret escape route when Tom notices the boys are missing. Ruckus comments he "left them where they belong" before Tom heads back for them. He ends up entering a shower room, which is empty at first. when he reaches the end of the room, Booty Warrior confronts him. Booty Warrior is determined to rape Tom but Tom is even more determined not to be raped. Tom is quickly overpowered and just when it looks like he's about to be Booty Warrior's latest prize, the man slips on soap and falls backward. Tom quickley knocks him out, having overcome his fear and heads for the boys.

By now, the Riot Leaders have noticed the other hostages escaped. Huey points out he and Riley can still be used but the inmates aren't convinced. They decide to end the riot and surrender to the police. ALl but one of the inmates leave. The remaining inmates comments on how he wished he'd made better choices in his life. He comments on how he's going to be raping people in prison for the rest of his life before leaving. Tom arrives a short time later and leads the boys outside as the episode ends.

Trivia

  • "To Catch a Predator" is an actual pseudo-reality/documentary TV show on NBC (now on MSNBC) that busts men who come to a house to meet with who they thought was an unsuspecting teenager online. The teenager is actually an adult posing as a teenager and is a member of the website Perverted Justice. Perverted Justice is a non-profit organization that works with law enforcement. They're dedicated to turning the tables on internet predators looking to meet up with unsuspecting children they meet online. They have a 100% sucess rate and all of their "marks" are convicted with their own chat logs as evidence. Perverted Justice is subject to periodic attacks by the "Child Predator Community" as well as accusations from defense attorneys who've accused the website of extortion and entrapment because of their parnership with NBC.
